Rob brings a strong work ethic to the Sting program and he is a valuable asset when it comes to helping our players get recruited. Rob's wife Nicole is his assistant at UW Parkside. Few people know that Rob was an original member of the 'Back Street Boys'. His comeback was haulted rather quickly when he tore his ACL during a performance on the Today show. Oh that STINGS!!

Darrell Frank:Back to top
Darrell is in his 11th year with Sting. He has had numerous top 3 and above finishes at National Qualifiers and JO Nationals. Darrell's 2007-08 17 Gold team finished 5th at the JVDA Championships in Louisville. He has coached 15's-17's with Sting and has a 80% winning record. At the 17's level, Darrell brings his skill development and competitive zeal to the program as well as orientates his players for college style play. He truly understands the recruiting process and has developed and guided many players to Division I & II scholarships. College coaches comment favorably on his consistent winning teams and players devlopement. Darrell enjoys trying to stump his players (and anyone else that will give him a moment or two)with his many card tricks and illusions. He is also part of a forward thinking group that meets a few times a month to help protect a secret STINGing formula that will one day bring much happiness to all. Darrell has 4 children, lives in Menomonee Falls, and has a wonderful wife, Laurie, who lets him do this!

Jamie Gabrielsen:Back to top
Jamie returns to Sting after a 1 yr absence. Jamie was a standout player for both Sting and UW-Milwaukee and she is truly one of those people that was just born to coach (just ask her dad). Coming back from adversity was something that Jamie had to hear way too many times during her VB career. At 14, Jamie once hit a coach in the head with one of her errant attacks. That coach is still a bit dizzy and her growth was also stunted.

Kelley Olson:Back to top
Kelley begins her third year with Sting after having a stellar career at UW-Milwaukee. Kelley enjoys the pressure that is involved with training at the 15's level. Maybe the raising and training of her pet trantulas helps to keep her grounded. She enjoys taking her pets to area hospitals for weekly performances. Being at hospitals is convenient for those times that she gets a little sting.

Teri begins her 1st season with Sting though she is no stranger to playing and coaching volleyball. Teri is a grad of Winona State and has coached for both Southshore and Next Level. She is CAP I accredited and feels her coaching strengths lie in motivation. Teri once motivated her players to attend a Jonas Brothers concert and act like wild crazed teen-agers. OK, maybe that's a bad example.
