Sting Welcomes Kevin Lane
11/08/2007
Milwaukee Sting is very pleased to introduce our new Managing Director, Kevin Lane. Kevin comes
to Milwaukee Sting by way of a very rich volleyball coaching background. Kevin's most recent job title was with the University of Notre Dame where he was a volunteer assistant coach. He also
headed up the U17 program with the Munciana Club out of Muncie, IN where his responsibilities included organizing team and tournament scheduling as well as assisting players with the
recruting process.
Kevin has also been an assitant for NCAA DI Indiana Purdue University - Fort Wayne (IPFW). He began his coaching career back in 2001 at Northrup High School in Ft. Wayne, IN where he was
the varsity assistant coach. Along with his work during the volleyball season(s) over the last 6 years, Kevin has also worked as a court coach for USAV's JNT/YNT trouts and has done camps for
Notre Dame, Purdue and Wisconsin. As a player, Kevin was a Middle Blocker for the US Army Hanau Volleyball Team.
In his freetime, Kevin enjoys needlepoint and water color paintings specializing in roadkill abstracts. "It's an un-tapped niche…and I've never been good with painting animals so it's a perfect fit," says Kevin.
He can also be heard pontificating why ovaltine is called ovaltine and expressing his concerns over the obesity of whales. Kevin is also a Seinfeld fan.
Welcome to the Sting family, Kevin. We are excited to have you aboard.
