Milwaukee Sting alum and current senior for the Wisconsin Badgers, Caity DuPont has gone big time.
Caity is starring in a new commercial on the Big Ten Network. Attempts were made to contact Caity through her
agent, Ari Gold, but we were unsuccessful. We were however able to secure footage of the commercial by way of
everybody's favorite on the clock time waster, Youtube.
BRACE yourself - Rule Change on the Horizon 9.1.2009
Okay sports fans, pay attention. I realize it is early and the H.S. season just began. In an attempt to eeeease everyone into one of the new rules
for the 2010 club season, we would like to get a jump on things here at Sting and educate everyone as much as possible as to avoid
early season heart attacks, seizures, blown blood vessels and fainting. It's not going to be pretty.
In an effort to stay in line with the FIVB ruleset (International), USAV has adpoted new 'standards' for net faults. Gone, yes GONE are the days of
players being called for a net fault when they simply run into it. The only net fault called in the 2010 season will be specifically on the TOP of the net or,
"the tape" while playing the ball. Sparing everyone the specifics we would like the Sting masses to watch this embedded video created by an official in eurpoe. It is a little rough to
read in points but one should get the idea of what is and what is not a fault for the up-coming (and through at least 2012) club season.
Enjoy......
There is also a significant rule change for center line violations but let us deal with one head spinning change at a time.....We aren't all on the same health plan.
From Northern Knight to Southern Panther 8.26.2009 Sting 17 Gold member Veronica Chandre (Oak Creek H.S.)
has verbally accepted an offer from NCAA DI Georgia State University. What's in store for "V"
when heading down to Atlanta? She'll go from hearing, "Yah" to hearing "Y'all." If it's organic, it can be deep fried. Actually, if it's edible it can be deep fried. In Atlanta, everything is named "Peachtree"
or some sort of Peach variant. In the south, Mac and Cheese from a box is only created by blasphemers. It's a different world down there but the people are friendly and they are getting one more
friendly face. Congratulations V, we are proud of you!
